Kind Medical: Building a Smarter Member Portal with HubSpot CMS
Kind Medical is a leading Australian supplier of medicinal-cannabis products to healthcare professionals. To accelerate growth and meet strict industry regulations, the company partnered with Engaging.io to rebuild its Healthcare Professionals Member Portal using HubSpot CMS Hub Enterprise.
The result is a centralised, gated portal that serves as the primary destination for verified doctors—delivering automated AHPRA vetting, personalised education, and detailed product content through a seamless, scalable experience.
The challenge
Operating in one of Australia’s most tightly regulated healthcare sectors, Kind Medical faced a growing challenge: how to deliver a compliant, engaging experience for doctors—without sacrificing personalisation, automation, or growth potential.
By law, Kind can’t display product information until a visitor’s medical credentials have been verified. On their previous Webflow site, this vetting was entirely manual—staff checked AHPRA registrations by hand, causing friction for users and pulling the team away from strategic work. This slowed down prescribing journeys and added operational strain.
Kind’s educational resources and product information were also scattered across emails and PDFs. There was no secure, central location for healthcare professionals to browse products, compare formulations, or explore content relevant to their clinical interests. With doctors spanning many specialties, this lack of personalisation limited engagement and reduced repeat visits.
These inefficiencies became growth blockers. Leadership set an ambitious goal to 2.5× prescription-driven revenue—but existing tools couldn’t scale to meet that vision.
The solution
Kind needed more than a website refresh—they needed a purpose-built digital platform that could meet compliance needs and improve the practitioner experience. HubSpot CMS Hub Enterprise proved the ideal foundation.
We built a single-hub solution that turned regulatory friction into a seamless entry point. A real-time credential verification system, integrated with AHPRA, instantly validates practitioner registrations—granting or flagging access automatically and eliminating manual checks.
Once verified, doctors complete a short onboarding process that maps their specialty and interests directly into the CRM. HubSpot CMS then dynamically delivers content, products, and resources tailored to each user’s clinical profile—driven by smart CRM property filtering and native CMS functionality.
Doctors now browse a searchable, filterable product catalogue—a major upgrade from PDFs—with links to CanView and easy updates through modular CMS collections. Learning materials (videos, PDFs, audio) are also searchable and tagged, with user views writing back to their CRM records to support reporting and follow-up.
The platform was built with long-term flexibility in mind. Using HubSpot’s drag-and-drop templates, theme fields, and reusable modules, Kind’s team can publish new content quickly—no developer support required.
Because CMS, CRM, and automation live in one ecosystem, everything is connected. Real-time activity data feeds the CRM, enabling nurture flows, follow-ups, and a full 360° view of the practitioner journey. The entire project—from discovery to launch—was delivered in 16 weeks without disrupting business operations.
We had a great experience working with Geff and the team at Engaging.io. From the outset, they approached the project with professionalism, curiosity, and a genuinely collaborative spirit. Their flexible, can-do attitude made it easy to navigate shifting requirements and timelines without friction, and their positive energy helped keep momentum up across the process. Geff in particular brought strong technical insight and creative execution to our design and development work, translating our brief into clean, effective templates and solutions that served both our brand and user needs. The wider team was consistently responsive, proactive, and thoughtful in their communication - always focused on outcomes, never stuck in process. Engaging.io operate with a rare mix of deep capability and grounded pragmatism. They feel like partners, not vendors, and it’s clear they take pride in doing excellent work while being good humans to work with. We’d gladly work with them again.

The results
The results were immediate—and game-changing.
Credential vetting is now 100% automated. Doctors self-register, and AHPRA checks happen instantly. This has eliminated manual checks and improved the onboarding experience from day one.
Personalised content is driving deeper engagement. Thanks to CRM-driven segmentation, each practitioner sees content tailored to their specialty. Kind saw a 34% increase in dwell time in the first month, with more article completions and product comparisons.
Operational efficiency has soared. Internal teams no longer upload PDFs or send static emails. The system now saves two staff-days per week—freeing the team to focus on strategy and outreach.
Sales and marketing are now fully aligned. With behaviour tracked in HubSpot CRM, marketing can segment by specialty and pass high-quality, compliant leads to sales. This supports the goal to 2.5× prescription-driven revenue by ensuring outreach is timely, targeted, and informed.
User feedback has also been overwhelmingly positive. Doctors have praised the portal’s ease of access, clear navigation, and relevant content. What used to be a barrier is now a trusted, go-to resource.
The impact
The member portal has become far more than a digital upgrade—it’s a core strategic asset for Kind Medical.
Internally, Kind now controls a scalable, compliant experience without relying on external platforms. Processes that once slowed growth have been replaced with automation, insight, and agility.
The portal also created a feedback loop. Every interaction—from article views to product comparisons—is tracked in HubSpot. This real-time data informs smarter marketing, content planning, and sales strategy.
Scalability was built in from day one. New product lines or clinical categories can be added using existing CMS modules. The AHPRA credential check can also be adapted for future international markets. With CMS, Sales, and Marketing Hubs all in one platform, Kind is positioned to adopt AI-powered tools like predictive lead scoring without needing to re-platform.
From a RevOps perspective, Marketing and Sales now share a live dashboard that shows exactly where each practitioner sits in their journey—allowing reps to focus on the most engaged doctors and shorten the path from education to prescription.
And for the end users—the doctors—the difference is clear. What used to be a fragmented, hard-to-navigate system is now a modern, intuitive portal that puts relevant resources at their fingertips. The result? Better-informed clinicians and stronger, more trusted relationships with Kind Medical.
